Castleton Square Mall Shooter Was Found Guilty

Mocobizscene – The Castleton Square Mall shooter was convicted of his role in the February 17, 2023, shooting.

Curtis Wilson, 19, was convicted of two counts of criminal recklessness, a Level 5 felony.

Crews from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to 6020 E. 82nd St. around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, after receiving several reports of shots fired and a person being shot.

When cops arrived, they discovered security inside administering first aid to an 18-year-old male named Wilson, who had been shot. Wilson was apparently involved in a shooting between two factions.

Officers eventually discovered that the gunshot was the result of an isolated occurrence and a quarrel between people.

Following the shooting, the mall was placed under lockdown.

Wilson is scheduled to be sentenced on March 28, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
