Blue Alert issued as police release suspect photo in connection with Tennessee trooper shooting

On Friday night, the Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper was shot, leading to the closure of the eastbound lanes of I-40 in Putnam County.

According to THP officials, the incident occurred near mile marker 285.

Officials are currently on the lookout for two black males with facial tattoos who were last seen driving a white Kia Forte with a possible TN temporary tag of Q9SC4JR. According to reports, the suspects were last seen heading east on I-40.

According to reports, the trooper’s condition has been stabilized.

THP officials have confirmed that they have located the car.

The two suspects have been issued a Blue Alert by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

At the moment, they are uncertain about their direction.
