Atlanta shooting under police investigation with sole witness being a 9-year-old

A shooting incident is currently being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department, and what makes it unique is that the sole witness is a child.

On Thursday night, the incident occurred on Bent Creek Way SW.

According to the authorities, the shooting took place at 11:10 p.m. after two men engaged in a heated argument inside an apartment. The situation quickly turned violent, leading to the unfortunate incident.

According to the APD, the shooter fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene. The police have reported that a potential suspect has come forward and is currently in custody, but it is not yet clear if this person was responsible for the shooting.

According to APD, the victim of the shooting received medical treatment for his injuries at Grady Memorial Hospital. He was in stable condition when transported via ambulance.

According to officers, a 9-year-old child was the sole witness to the incident.
