The Atlanta Department is currently investigating a tragic incident on Interstate 20, where a woman lost her life due to a shooting.
At approximately 5:52 a.m., the police received a report from a local hospital regarding a shooting incident.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials were informed that a 34-year-old woman had been transported to the hospital via car after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the APD, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the woman sadly passed away.
Police said that they responded to a location on the Interstate 20 Eastbound Expressway, where it intersects with I-75 and I-85 northbound. Their purpose was to conduct a thorough investigation and gather more information about the incident.
The police are currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. At this time, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
