In Little Falls, the Passaic River was measured at approximately 4.6 feet early Wednesday morning. It’s important to note that flood stage is at 7 feet.

The river is expected to reach flood stage sometime between Thursday and Friday, with a potential peak of 7.7 feet on Friday.

Officials are cautioning drivers about the potential for ponding on roadways due to inadequate drainage. They strongly advise against driving through floodwaters.

Gusty winds may also pose a concern as they have the potential to cause power outages.
