Another legal battle erupts over charter schools in Florida

Plato Academy has a rich history of catering to children as one of the largest charter school groups in the Tampa Bay area.

The organization has expanded its presence to nine campuses across three counties and has always had aspirations of further expanding its reach.

Plato faced a series of disputes with its previous management company, which currently oversees early education and child care programs on the campuses. As a result, Plato had to revise its goals a few years ago. Although it seemed like the issues had been resolved in 2023, the disagreements resurfaced this spring.

Currently, they find themselves embroiled in three legal battles, and it is anticipated that there will be additional lawsuits in the near future. So, what exactly is happening?
