An 11-month-old from Mississippi rescued after found unresponsive on a beach in Florida

While enjoying a day at a Florida beach, a Mississippi family was struck by a horrifying incident as they discovered their baby unresponsive in the water.

According to a report by WJHG News based in Panama City, Florida, a family discovered an 11-month-old baby face down in the water on Friday evening, but fortunately, the child was rescued.

At around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, emergency responders were summoned to the Norriego Point Public Beach Access in Destin.

Upon arriving at the scene, a Coast Guard official found that a family member and a bystander were already performing CPR on the child.

According to reports from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the baby was successfully resuscitated and breathing on their own with the help of EMS and Coast Guard personnel. They were then transported to the hospital for further treatment.

According to reports, the parents and their infant were brought to the Destin station of the Coast Guard where they waited for a helicopter to transport them to a medical facility.

As of Saturday, there has been no update on the condition of the baby. However, it has been confirmed that the family hails from Mississippi.
