Alleged Push by Son Resulted in Mother’s Death in Washington Heights Park

On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred in Washington Heights park where a 44-year-old mother lost her life allegedly due to being pushed down a grass embankment by her own son. May her soul rest in peace.

Police reported that the occurrence took place around 165th Street and Riverside Drive at approximately 4:15 pm.

Upon arriving at the scene, a witness informed the police that Vianel Garcia was allegedly pushed down the embankment within the park, resulting in severe physical injuries by 22-year-old Miguel Duval.

Garcia passed away at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem after being taken there for medical attention.

The charge of second-degree murder is currently being faced by Duval.
