Alex Dumitru, aged 23, and his younger brother Natalian Dumitru, aged 18, were apprehended by the Montgomery County Department of Police for their involvement in burglarizing two properties. This arrest comes as the police department investigates a series of recent robberies.
During the months of March and April, there were reported incidents where unidentified individuals forcibly entered various premises, causing damage and theft of property before making their escape.

- A residence attached to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the 15000 block of Good Hope Road;
- A residence located in the 2300 block of Spencerville Road;
- The Noor Center in the 20500 block of Boland Farm Road;
- US Zen Institute in the 19200 block of Liberty Mill Road;
- A residence attached to the Wat Thai Washington, DC in the 13400 block of Layhill Road.
The investigating authorities identified the Dumitru brothers as potential suspects in two of the burglaries.
Baltimore County Police collaborated with Montgomery County Police detectives in executing a search and seizure warrant at their residence in Catonsville. The couple was apprehended, and authorities recovered stolen items from the Zen Institute and Ahmadiyya Muslim Community burglaries.
The authorities are currently investigating the other three burglaries.
After their arrest, the brothers were brought to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. They faced charges of first-degree burglary and other related offenses. However, they were later released on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond.
