ALEA: Fatal crash in Conecuh County claims life of Tennessee woman

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that a fatal two-vehicle accident occurred in Conecuh County on Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a woman from Tennessee.

According to a release by ALEA, Rachel Marcum, a 51-year-old resident of Mooresburg, Tennessee, lost her life in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer while driving.

According to the statement, Marcum was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash and was declared deceased at the accident site.

On the early morning of July 7th, a crash occurred on U.S. 31, specifically three miles north of Castleberry.

The investigation into the matter is currently being conducted by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
