Alabama single-vehicle crash results in the death of a child from Mississippi and injuries to three others

A tragic incident occurred in Marion County, Alabama where a 10-year-old child from Mississippi lost their life in a single-vehicle crash. The accident also left three other passengers, including a 1-year-old, injured.

On Sunday at 6:55 a.m., a crash happened on Interstate 22 near Brilliant, Alabama.

Four people were in the car when it veered off the road and hit a barrier.

The crash at a local hospital resulted in the death of a 10-year-old, whose identity has not been disclosed.

All three individuals who were in the vehicle at the time of the accident suffered injuries and were subsequently transported to a hospital. The driver, Raymoni Gordon, 31, and Shuntalisha Metcalf, 36, were injured, as well as a 1-year-old child from Mississippi.

The Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently handling the investigation into the crash.
