Alabama man accused of committing double homicide in Sequoyah County faces murder charges

In Gans, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, an Alabama man was charged with murder by an attorney in Sequoyah County District Court. The charges came after the man was accused of killing two people.

On Thursday morning, authorities apprehended Stacy Lee Drake, aged 50, in Morrilton following a search that spanned several days.

The authorities have filed two charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon against Drake.

The two individuals who were victimized were named Tara Underwood and Taylor Sharp, as indicated in the document submitted.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) was called upon by SCSO to provide assistance in investigating a double homicide.

According to court records, surveillance footage from the establishment shows a Caucasian man, later identified as Drake, entering the premises between 2:49 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) agents had reviewed the video.

According to the filing, Drake left LaFerry’s and drove off in Underwood’s vehicle. The document stated that no other person was present at the business apart from Underwood’s fiancé.

According to reports, the motel in Morrilton was where the vehicle was eventually discovered. On the motel’s security camera, Drake was allegedly captured wearing the same clothes and gloves as seen in the Gans surveillance footage.

At the Morrilton motel, Drake presented an Alabama driver’s license as his form of identification.

According to reports, he is connected to four homicides.

According to Nexstar’s KFOR, there is a connection between Drake and a homicide investigation in El Reno, Oklahoma. The investigation involves the death of 56-year-old Phillip Emerson, who was found deceased at a residence on June 14th.

According to WIAT by Nexstar, there is a homicide investigation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where the victim is identified as 62-year-old Russell Thomas Andrews. He was found dead outside an Alcoholics Anonymous building on May 14, and Drake is reportedly linked to the case.
