A fatal head-on collision occurred on Marksheffel Road during the early afternoon of Sunday, resulting in the death of one person.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. The cause of the accident was due to one car colliding with a concrete guardrail, then overcorrecting and ultimately colliding head-on with another car.
Four individuals, including two children, were transported to a nearby hospital as stated by authorities. Unfortunately, one of the victims was declared deceased, but the troopers have not yet released the names of those involved.
