61-year-old Brooklyn male was fatally stabbed in the neck

Williamsburg — According to authorities, a 61-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the neck in Brooklyn early on Saturday.

The NYPD reports that at about 1:08 a.m., Laurence Hopkins was attacked inside 140 Graham Ave. in Williamsburg. Police stated the person was taken to the hospital immediately but was not saved.

What started the violence was unclear. The investigation is underway and no one has been taken into custody.
