Mocobizscene- In a New York community, mourners came together on Friday afternoon to express their sorrow over the tragic loss of a 5-year-old girl. The young child had been struck and killed by a school bus just a few hours earlier.
Around 10:30 a.m., the young victim was struck by a vehicle shortly after being dropped off by a school bus near her Spring Valley home, according to local authorities.
In the afternoon, a bus driver who was not involved in the incident happened upon the scene on his way to work. He appeared visibly shaken by the events that had unfolded. Jeanmiou Hosty expressed her concern, saying, “It could be my kids.”
Around 2 p.m., family and friends gathered at Satmar Shul, including Elishiva Nasri, who resides below the young girl’s family.
Nasri recalled waking up in the morning and glancing out the window to witness the chaotic scene unfolding. The sound of crying and screaming pierced through the air, leaving him overwhelmed with grief. The experience was incredibly distressing for him.
Just weeks ago, another young student lost their life in a tragic bus crash. Now, we wake up to yet another devastating incident involving a school bus. Investigations are currently underway for both of these heartbreaking accidents.
