According to the NYPD, a 32-year-old guy was stabbed in the neck during a major altercation and died early on Saturday morning in the Bronx.
Police responded to a report of an assault and stabbing at 435 East 153rd Street in the Bronx’s Melrose neighborhood at approximately 3:51 a.m.
According to the police, there was a big fight outside the address, and at some point during the altercation, the victim’s neck was stabbed with an unidentified sharp instrument.
After being taken by emergency medical services to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, the person was declared deceased, according to authorities. The 32-year-old’s identify is being kept secret until family members are informed.
The suspect, according to investigators, is a 5’7″ bearded male who was dressed in a white shirt with black lettering along the side. According to officials, the suspect ran away on foot.
The investigation is underway and no one has been taken into custody.
