19-year-old recovering after being shot in Galveston

Mocobizscene-  A 19-year-old who was shot on Friday night in Galveston is said to be in fair condition. The incident took place at around 11:35 p.m. in the 7400 block of Jones Drive, according to the Galveston Police Department.

According to callers, the police were informed that a 19-year-old man had been shot and subsequently fled the scene after approaching a vehicle and seeking help. Police located the vehicle and the shooting victim near 61st Street while they were en route to The University of Texas Medical Branch emergency room.

The victim was transported to UTMB via Galveston EMS with a police escort, and he is currently reported to be in fair condition. Police have confirmed that no arrests or charges have been made at this time, emphasizing that the investigation is still ongoing.
