Two teens arrested in Montgomery weekend police Chase

Two teenage boys were caught by police after a police chase in Montgomery, Alabama, stopped at Sam’s Club Warehouse when the suspects jumped out of an SUV and ran inside.

Two boys, ages 15 and 16, are being looked at as candidates. Police have charged them with having a gun without permission and getting stolen property in the second degree. They were both put in the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility.

Lt. Raymond Carson, a spokesman for the Montgomery Cops Department, said that at 5:40 p.m., cops tried to stop a stolen car near Coliseum Boulevard and Northern Boulevard. Carson said that the car wouldn’t stop, so a chase began.

During the chase, two cars crashed near the intersection of East Shirley Lane and Eastern Boulevard. He said that no one got injured in the accident. The car kept going and ran away to the 1000 block of Eastern Boulevard.

Police didn’t say what business it was, but several videos shared on social media showed that the chase ended at the entrance of Sam’s Club and that several men got out of the car and ran inside.

Carson said that the police sent in more people to the area. Carson said that seven suspects were caught inside and around the local business after a short foot run and with the help of the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office. He said that the business was locked down right away and that neither customers nor workers were hurt.

Several weapons were found, and all of the suspects will be charged soon, Carson said.
