Police say persons of interest are in jail after a boy was shot in Montgomery

According to sources, a young boy is currently fighting for his life after being shot on Wednesday night in Montgomery.

Maj. Saba Coleman stated that the Montgomery police and fire medics promptly responded to the call of a person shot on the 000 block of West South Boulevard around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The police found the boy with a life-threatening gunshot wound at the scene. Currently, persons of interest have been taken into custody and investigators are working to determine their involvement in the incident.

As the investigation is still ongoing, further details are currently unavailable.
