A woman was killed in a car crash in Montgomery

A woman died in a single-vehicle incident in Montgomery County around 1:23 p.m. Monday, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency authorities.

Sue Maddox, 66, of Midland City, was badly injured when the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup she was driving left the road and collided with two utility poles, according to a news release. She was sent to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment, where she eventually died.

The accident occurred on Pike Road at Alabama 110, roughly three miles east of Montgomery.

The Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated that its investigation will continue. It did not immediately provide any additional information.
