A hearing in the Starr brothers’ murder case has been set for August 11th

The wiregrass is gearing up for the next big trial, which is set to take place soon.

A federal judge in Montgomery has scheduled Darin and Jason Starr’s trial for August 11th.

The trial follows the November 2017 killing of Sara Starr, a teacher from Enterprise, who was fatally shot in her driveway. At the time of her death, Sara was going through a highly contested divorce with Jason.

The couple shared four children together. According to documents, Jason allegedly paid his brother, who resided in Texas, with a motorcycle and cash to kill Sara.

The trial of both men is expected to begin in mid-September at the federal courthouse in Montgomery, and it is anticipated to last several weeks.
