Breaking News: Bowling Green community shaken by multi-vehicle crash and double fatality tragedy

On September 23rd, at 11:48 pm, Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green received a call for assistance regarding a tragic collision near the 6300 block of Bowling Green Road in Simpson County. Responding promptly, troopers from KSP Post 3 arrived at the location.

An initial inquiry into the incident has revealed that an unidentified individual was operating a GMC pickup truck, heading south on Bowling Green Road. Regrettably, the vehicle veered into the northbound lane, where a 17-year-old was driving a Mazda passenger car northward. The GMC truck’s intrusion into the opposing lane resulted in a collision between the two vehicles. Shockingly, the GMC truck continued its course southward in the northbound lane, ultimately colliding with a third vehicle driven by Miracle Grana, a 25-year-old resident of Bowling Green. Tragically, both the GMC pickup’s operator and the 17-year-old driver of the Mazda car lost their lives at the scene, as confirmed by the Simpson County Coroner. Miracle Grana and her passenger, Katrine McCathron, were subsequently transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The ongoing investigation is under the capable leadership of Trooper Bo Hubbard, who received assistance from Simpson County Fire and Rescue, the Simpson County Coroner, and other dedicated KSP personnel at the scene.
