On Sunday, 7 people were injured in 3 separate shootings in Montgomery.
According to the Montgomery Police Department, a person was shot in the 5500 block of Atlanta Highway at 2:44 a.m. on July 2. MPD and fire doctors went there to help. Two adults, a man and a woman, who had been shot but were not in danger of death, were found by the police. MPD also said that a third victim, an adult male, drove himself to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.
MPD found that the first shooting happened in the 3500 block of Eastdale Circle. This investigation is still going on, but no one has been arrested yet.
About 10 minutes later, at 2:55 a.m., the MPD said that police and fire medics went to the 2400 block of Promenade Blvd. because someone had been shot there. When they got there, they found an adult man in a car near Haskell Drive and Eastern Blvd. who had been shot but was not in danger of dying.
No one has been arrested, and there are no more details about this shooting.
The third shot happened around 3:36 a.m., according to MPD. MPD and fire medics went to the 3400 block of Wiley Road because a person had been shot there. A shooting wound to an adult male victim that was not life-threatening was found. A short time later, an adult male and adult female who were also hurt in this incident drove themselves to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
