Lockport shooting: 1 dead, 1 injured; police seeking information

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) —  The Lockport Police Department said that a guy was killed and a woman sustained injuries in a shooting on Sunday night.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Locust and Walnut Streets, according to the police.

Police say that the male victim, Rakeem Hamilton, was declared dead at the scene, and the female victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to ECMC for medical care. The police said they are “actively monitoring” the status of the female victim.
