Around 4:30 p.m. on September 14th, a 76-year-old man was washing his car at the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and Palmetto Street in Bushwick when he was approached from behind. The victim was the target of this incident.
According to authorities, a teenager who is only 16 years old was caught for committing the crime later in the same day.
Later on the same day, authorities managed to apprehend the silver vehicle in East New York, and the teenage driver was charged with various offenses including robbery, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
Due to his age, his identity was not disclosed to the public.
According to authorities, a search is currently underway for the accomplice of the suspect. A photo of the accomplice has been released to the public, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The accomplice was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and blue jeans, and had a blue bandana around his neck, according to police reports.
