A fatal case of road rage in El Dorado has led to murder charges against a man. According to reports, the accused individual will be facing legal consequences for his actions. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, as such incidents of violence are always tragic.
At approximately 1 p.m. on October 8, the El Dorado Police Department received a call regarding a battery incident that occurred at the Jump Start convenience store located on West Central Avenue in El Dorado. The incident originated from a road rage situation and resulted in the hospitalization of Alton Kent Algrim, a 74-year-old man, with critical injuries. Tragically, Algrim passed away a week later, as confirmed by his family members.
At the location, 23-year-old Ashton Jay McCoy was apprehended by the officers. The El Dorado police reported that they have modified the accusations against him, which now consist of both aggravated battery and first-degree murder charges.
