Recently, DeKalb County Narcotics Agents conducted a major traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Methamphetamine AND Fentanyl big enough for trafficking. Agents conducted their traffic stop at Frankies Service station on Highway 75 in Ider. During the halt, the driver abandoned the vehicle, leaving the passenger inside.
This passenger was identified as Scott William Haldane, age 49, from Ider, who was out on bond and had prior accusations of Fentanyl Trafficking. Once additional agents arrived at the scene, a search was conducted for the driver, but he was not located.
Haldane was charged with two counts of Trafficking Illegal Drugs, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting Arrest.
In addition to drug paraphernalia, law enforcement discovered 60 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 7 grams of pulverized Fentanyl during a search of the vehicle.
