Crash in northeast Colorado Springs seriously injures one

A serious crash took place on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the closure of multiple lanes on a busy road. Reports from Colorado Springs, Colo. indicate that at least one individual has sustained severe injuries.

According to the Colorado Springs police, the incident occurred in the vicinity of Rampart High School at Union and Lexington.

As per a statement from a sergeant present at the site, the accident involved two vehicles – a sedan and an SUV. Apparently, one of the vehicles was moving in a northbound direction on Union while the other was heading toward the west on Lexington. Unfortunately, the two collided in the intersection causing the mishap.

After the sedan accident, one individual was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, while the rest of the passengers were taken to another medical facility as a precaution. Although the authorities have not confirmed any additional injuries, they did mention that if there were any, they were only minor. Our team on the scene reported this information.

According to their statement, the sedan was occupied by two individuals while the SUV had a total of four passengers.

According to the police, the intersection is expected to be reopened at approximately 5:30.

At this point, the reason behind the crash and the possibility of charges being brought against anyone involved have not yet been made public.
