Claim of abuse against a priest was substantiated, and the priest was removed

According to the Diocese of Buffalo, a priest has been removed from the priesthood after a claim of abuse was substantiated. This news comes as a serious blow to the religious community and highlights the importance of addressing such issues and ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.

Following the investigation of a claim, Rev. Joseph Vatter was put on administrative leave back in February. The findings of the investigation revealed that Vatter had committed abuse against a minor female.

According to the Diocese, Vatter had been conducting masses for several churches in the area before being put on leave.
