Alabama man charged with murdering his own brother near flomaton saturday night

A man from Evergreen, Alabama is accused of murdering his sibling Saturday night near Flomaton. 42-year-old Shawn Miller was accused with murder. He continues to be detained at the Escambia County (AL) Detention Center in Brewton without bond.

Monday night, sheriff’s deputies in Alabama charged a man with the murder of his own brother.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an address on Fort Morgan Road after receiving a report of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a wounded victim in the front yard of a home.

Jason Estabrook was identified as the deceased.

Miller was at his brother’s residence in the 3700 block of Old Foshee Road, just off Highway 113 and approximately four miles north of Flomaton, at approximately 9 p.m. According to Escambia County (AL) Sheriff Heath Jackson, he was involved in an argument before shooting and murdering his brother, Benjamin Miller, 49.

wkrg.com preliminary investigation suggests an altercation took place throughout the evening between Jason Estabrook and his brother James Estabrook. At some point during their argument, James Estabrook armed himself with a firearm and shot his brother three times. James Estabrook was detained at the scene of this incident. He was later arrested on the charge of Murder and taken to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Center. This investigation is still ongoing. An update may be provided as this investigation develops.
