unidentified vehicle is accused of causing an accident, DeKalb County

Monday morning in the DeKalb County region, Alabama State Troopers responded to a collision in which three persons were injured as a result of a vehicle entering a ditch to avoid another vehicle.

A vehicle purportedly crossed into the wrong lane at 11:30 a.m. on U.S. 11, forcing a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado off the road and causing it to crash, injuring both the male driver and two female passengers before fleeing the scene.

According to reports, all three victims were from the Collinsville area; however, we have yet to receive additional information regarding the condition of those injured.

This mishap is still being investigated.
