Third escape from custody leads to man being sought in northeast Alabama

A man is being sought in northeast Alabama following his third escape from custody.

Scottsboro, Alabama is the location of the following story:

Law enforcement officials in northeast Alabama are currently on the lookout for an individual who has managed to escape custody for the third time.

On Facebook, Sheriff Rocky Harnen posted a picture of Truan Bobby Evans on Tuesday.

According to Sheriff Harnen, Evans’ relative was bringing him back into custody and had stopped at a gas station when Evans suddenly bolted from the vehicle and fled. The Sheriff mentioned that Evans was en route to a rehabilitation session and was expected to complete it.

According to Chief Deputy Eric Woodall in an interview with WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Evans had been granted permission to leave the jail and transfer to a halfway house. However, an incident occurred at the halfway house, which resulted in Evans being instructed to return to the jail.

Evans has now accumulated additional charges on his record, including a third instance of escape and a violation of probation.
