Inclusive playground introduced at Children’s Harbor center in northern Alabama

A resource center in north Alabama has recently acquired a new piece of equipment that will offer children an opportunity to engage in fun activities alongside each other. The center, located in Eclectic, is thrilled to provide this new addition to its collection.

The Harbor Lodge Family Camp’s Children’s Harbor has recently revealed a brand new playground worth $750,000. This playground is specially designed to cater to children of all abilities. With ramps, musical and sensory elements, and a unique merry-go-round that can accommodate two wheelchairs, this playground is a haven for children to engage in interactive activities and have fun.

A spacious pavilion with ample seating and shade is also available on the site. However, the playground is exclusively reserved for the private facility’s family camps and is not open to the public. The playground will be accessible throughout the year for the camp’s use.

Families with seriously ill children seeking support can find refuge, respite, and resources at Children’s Harbor.
