Bills get a big scare when a rising star is carried off the field

The Buffalo Bills were hoped to leave the preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers without any injuries. The first team offense and defense kept things from going wrong, but early in the second half, Bills OL Tommy Doyle got hurt and had to be carried off the field.

When Doyle’s cart came out, the Bills Mafia held their breath. Doyle’s left leg was put in an air cast right away. Mitch Morse and Spencer Brown ran after him as he was taken off the field on a cart.

In the team’s last practice game, Doyle grabbed his knee in pain and fell down. He was later ruled out. Doyle was taken by the Bills in the fifth round of the NFL draft in 2021, and he has been doing everything he can to get more playing time.

Doyle’s short career has been hampered by injuries. He has only played in 12 games over the course of two seasons, and he missed almost the whole last season because of an ACL injury.

The offensive line for the Bills is in bad shape. The first team was getting beat up and down the field, and the team didn’t have much backup right now. Since Brandon Shell said he was retiring earlier this week, and Tommy Doyle is now being carried off the field, this team has almost no backup.

Doyle was going to be a key part of the tackle position’s strength. He had been fighting in the camp, and he was trying to make a big splash and get the backup tackle spot on the Bills’ offensive line, which is very important. Even though he was hurt and couldn’t play as much, Doyle was fighting for playing time on one of the worst units on the team. If he gets hurt again, this could be the end of his career.
