Anniston, AL – According to the Anniston Police Department, there was a shooting in the 300 block of Elm Street on June 19, 2023. On the scene, police found B/F Jasmine Nicole Whitson, 29, from Anniston, Alabama, dead from a gunshot wound.
Through the continued work of Anniston Police Investigators, a person has been arrested in the shooting death of Whitson. Marcus Maurice Swink, who is 31 years old and from Anniston, Alabama, was charged with Manslaughter on July 5, 2023. The bond for Swink has been set at $100,000.
