On Tuesday, October 31, MPD apprehended a teenager for committing multiple armed offenses in Southeast.
On Thursday, November 2, Police identified the suspect as a 16-year-old juvenile male from Southeast, D.C. According to reports, the suspect was found in possession of an unregistered firearm, which was stolen.
The police reported that the suspect carried out an armed robbery in the 400 block of Condon Terrace at approximately 3:28 p.m. Later on, at 6:01 p.m., the same suspect committed another armed robbery in the 3900 4th Street area. The suspect then proceeded to commit an armed carjacking at around 7:33 p.m. in the 1600 block of Savannah Street.
Upon investigation, the authorities discovered that the perpetrator had an active warrant for homicide in a neighboring jurisdiction in Maryland, which could result in their extradition. Multiple charges were filed against him, including carrying a pistol without a license, along with other offenses.
