A search has been launched in the Bronx for 17-year-old Elias McCants, who has been missing since Sunday. The teenager was last seen leaving his home in Soundview around 2:30 p.m. According to his family, Elias left behind his phone and wallet, which is unusual behavior for him.
The NYPD is urging anyone with information on Elias’s whereabouts to come forward. The teenager is described as being 5’9″ and weighing around 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.
Elias’s family and friends have been circulating flyers and posting on social media in an effort to locate him. They are asking anyone who may have seen him to contact the police or reach out to them directly.
“We just want him to come home safe,” said Elias’s mother, Crystal Humphrey. “We’re worried sick about him and we need to know he’s okay.”

Elias, a Hispanic or Latino man with brown hair and brown eyes, disappeared from his neighborhood around 5:25 pm. He stands between 5’2″ and 5’4″ tall and weighs between 100 and 120 pounds. Elias was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black shorts, and gray sneakers.

McCants is affiliated with an address located at 1882 Grand Concourse Apt. 10C Bronx, NY 10457, which is at the center of the investigation.
