Long-time Columbus businessman dies after car accident

A Columbus-based entrepreneur with a long-standing reputation in the community has passed away as a result of a car accident. On October 23, Ken Canida, who is 86 years old, was involved in a crash.

The accident on Alabama Street in Columbus had left him hospitalized for some time. On November 1, Greg Merchant, the Coroner of Lowndes County, confirmed Canida’s passing.

For many years, Canida was the proud owner and operator of Canida Motors located on Gardner Boulevard.
