Five individuals are suspected of carjacking a man in north St. Louis after he offered a woman a ride home on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a carjacking occurred in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood on Herbert Street in the 1900 block.
According to authorities, the victim, a 37-year-old male, had dropped off a friend and wanted to make sure she got inside her destination safely. As he tried to leave the parking spot, he noticed that a white KIA Soul was blocking him in.
According to the police report, a group of five individuals, whose ages remain unknown, emerged from a KIA and brandished rifles. They proceeded to encircle the victim’s car and demanded that he exit the vehicle. The suspects then absconded with the victim’s silver 2014 Dodge Charger, with each group departing in their respective vehicles from the scene.
Currently, there is no information available regarding any suspects related to the incident. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
