The Decatur Police Department has released a statement stating that an individual contacted them on Monday, Oct. 16, to request that officers perform a wellness check on Crow. The concerned citizen informed the department that Crow, who is 36 years old and had recently given birth, needed to be checked on. Decatur, which is situated around 85 miles north of Birmingham, Alabama, was where the incident took place.

The moment the case commenced, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) took over the investigation because of the alarming information they received at the start.

According to a release by the police, as the investigation continued, they gathered evidence that validated Crow’s pregnancy as early as February 2023 and her recent delivery. Nevertheless, the whereabouts of her newborn child were unknown.

During the course of the CID detectives’ investigation, they received a tip from an individual who informed them of a dumpster located behind the Wally World Mini Mart on Point Mallard Drive SE in Decatur that required searching. Acting on this information, the police went to the location to investigate further.
