Maine Fentanyl Distribution Conspiracy Results in 15-Year Federal Prison Sentence

A resident of Penobscot, Maine has been sentenced by the U.S. District Court for his role in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. The incident took place in Bangor, Maine.

38-year-old Christopher Beaucage has been sentenced to 180 months of imprisonment by U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker. He will also have to undergo four years of supervised release following his imprisonment.

According to court records from October of 2021, Beaucage and an accomplice were apprehended by a Bucksport Police Department officer. After a comprehensive search of their vehicle, approximately 60 grams of fentanyl were found. Beaucage took responsibility for the fentanyl and was arrested for existing warrants. While in custody, phone calls were monitored and recorded, exposing Beaucage and others’ involvement in drug trafficking activities. These conversations involved talks about traveling to another state to meet a supplier, narcotics pricing, and the distribution of fentanyl to customers in Maine.

The FBI and the Bucksport Police Department conducted a thorough investigation of the case.
