A Deadly Shooting Prompts a Chase That Ends on I-35

A shooting incident in Kansas City has resulted in the death of one man. The local police are currently investigating the incident, which triggered a high-speed chase that eventually came to a halt near downtown on northbound I-35 at Pennway on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, a male individual was fatally shot at the intersection of 44th and Montgall. The incident took place in the vicinity situated to the east of 71 Highway, between Ivanhoe Park and Oak Park. The police received the report of the shooting at approximately 3 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk with gunshot injuries.

The man was given immediate medical attention by officers prior to being transported to the hospital where he eventually passed away.

After the incident, law enforcement officers pursued an individual from the location of the crime. They were able to apprehend the suspect shortly after 5 p.m.
