An elderly couple was found dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, California (MBS) – Authorities in Long Beach, California are investigating what is believed to be a murder-suicide after an 81-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife were found dead in their home. The Long Beach Police Department was alerted to the situation after the couple failed to respond to calls and knocks on their door, prompting a welfare check at their residence on Corso Di Napoli in the 5600 block.

When the officers arrived at the residence, they discovered a woman who had been shot in the upper body and a man who appeared to have inflicted a gunshot wound on himself in the same area. Tragically, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

According to reports, a murder-suicide occurred and the victims have been identified as Judy Taylor, 75, and Lawrence Taylor, 81. Detectives found a firearm at the scene and are currently investigating the incident.
