According to reports, a man has been apprehended after he allegedly stabbed another man in Colorado Springs on Saturday night.
As per the statement issued by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), a man approached one of their officers around 9:23 p.m. claiming to have been stabbed in the right abdomen by a homeless individual.
A man was injured at the 2900 block of Colorado Avenue. His condition is currently unknown, but he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to CSPD, officers were able to locate a man who matched the description of the suspect at the intersection of 31st Street and Colorado Avenue at approximately 10:17 p.m.
According to reports, the individual attempted to flee on a scooter when law enforcement pursued him at the junction of South Columbia Road and Colorado Avenue.
According to authorities, the suspect was apprehended while trying to flee towards a nearby creek. Fortunately, both the suspect and the officer only suffered minor injuries during the scuffle and were discharged from the hospital after receiving medical attention.
Joshua Miller has been apprehended and is currently in custody, awaiting charges.
