Two women were shot near the Lancaster County Courthouse

Early on Tuesday morning, two women were shot in the vicinity of a courthouse situated in Lancaster. The incident caused quite a commotion in the area, and the authorities were quick to respond.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., authorities received reports of gunshots fired in the vicinity of the Michael D. Antonovich Superior Courthouse. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies promptly responded to the scene.

The Antelope Valley Hospital received two female patients who were rushed there in an unspecified condition.

According to reports, the shooting occurred due to a verbal dispute that arose between two families who were present for a trial at the courthouse.

The suspect of the shooting was pursued by the deputies and eventually caught at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Rancho Vista Boulevard. As a result, four individuals were taken into custody.

The vehicle was found to have an assault rifle, which was retrieved by the deputies.
