Two people were killed in a accident in Laurens County

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday along Interstate 385 in Laurens County, resulting in the loss of two lives. The crash has left the community in mourning as they come to terms with this devastating news.

At approximately 11 a.m, a collision occurred on I-385 northbound at mile marker 16.

As they both headed north on the interstate, a tractor-trailer collided with a motorcycle from behind, resulting in a crash.

Unfortunately, the tragic accident resulted in the loss of both individuals riding the motorcycle. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck involved in the collision was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

The two individuals who lost their lives in the tragic incident have been identified by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office. Lindsey Diane Billings, aged 38, and James Scott Lewis, aged 55, were the victims of the unfortunate event.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Laurens County Coroner’s Office are currently investigating the crash.
