According to the press release, the recent addition of a 1000-foot extension to an existing water pipe was completed about 8 weeks ago. However, when a worker attempted to remove the cap to resume work on the pipe, the pressure from the water caused the cap to come off and hit the worker.
According to the release, OSHA is given a timeframe of six months to conduct an investigation and identify any potential safety violations that may exist on the site.
