Fatal head-on Crash in Fullerton Killed 28-year-old man

Late Friday, a tragic head-on collision in Fullerton claimed the life of a 28-year-old man.

At approximately 9 p.m., the Fullerton Police Department responded to an accident that occurred near the intersection of Richman Avenue and Orangethorpe Avenue. After arriving at the scene, authorities discovered a white Honda Civic and a grey Nissan Pathfinder that were both heavily damaged at the front-end due to the collision.

As part of their inquiry, authorities discovered that the deceased driver of the Civic was operating his vehicle at a significantly high speed while traveling down Orangethorpe Ave. in an easterly direction. Reports indicate that he veered into the opposing lane of traffic to avoid colliding with a slower-moving car from behind.

The moment the Civic crashed into the Pathfinder is etched in memory.

After the incident, the driver of the Honda was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead. The authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, as they are still in the process of notifying the next of kin. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.

Both the male driver, aged 44, and his young female passenger, 8 years old, sustained minor injuries in the accident involving their Nissan.
