According to authorities, a tragic incident occurred in Brooklyn on Thursday night resulting in the death of a 53-year-old man. It was reported that the man lost control of his motorcycle, leading to his ejection from the vehicle.
Shortly before 9 p.m., law enforcement officials were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Avenue W and East 69th Street in Bergen Beach. The collision involved a single vehicle.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the motorcyclist lying on the road in an unconscious and unresponsive state. The individual had suffered injuries to their body, and the officers immediately took action to provide medical assistance.
Upon arrival, the EMS team declared the man deceased at the location of the incident.
According to an investigation carried out by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad, a man was riding a 2010 Honda motorcycle heading westbound on Avenue W. As he approached the intersection of East 69th Street, he failed to navigate the roadway properly, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle and land on the roadway. The police have not released the man’s name at this time.
At present, the incident is still being investigated.
