Alabama woman arrested after child discovered with drug paraphernalia at school

According to reports, a mother from Alabama was taken into custody when school officials discovered her child had drug paraphernalia in their possession.

According to a report from Fox10 News in Mobile, Karla Frye has been accused of both possessing a controlled substance and endangering a child with chemicals.

According to the Mobile police, local school officials requested an investigation into the discovery of the items around 2 p.m. on Thursday, and officers promptly responded to the call.

Upon being approached by authorities, Frye, who is the mother of the child, granted permission for a search of her home. Upon conducting the search, narcotics were discovered, leading to Frye’s subsequent arrest.

The agency responsible for handling such cases, the Department of Human Resources, has been notified and has taken over the investigation to further look into the matter.
